SUIT CUT SELECTION
Made Suits has been dressing gentlemen and ladies, advising on style, cut, and design.
Although the majority of our clients opt for our signature single-breasted, 3 Roll 2 -button house style,
We routinely cut different styles of suits too and can advise on whether a cut will flatter your figure or the suit’s purpose.
Our aim is to exceed expectations, no matter how particular the commission.
Italy’s notorious obsession with all things beautiful resulted in a suit style that prioritizes silhouette aesthetics
and a lightness of the weight of its garment over all else.
Italian suits are first and foremost lightweight because due to the canvassed and construction.
The Italian cuts are also highly tailored and fit tight and close to the body with a
tapered waist, high armholes, and very little or no shoulder padding at all.
The less-structured jacket allows the cloth to follow the natural silhouette of the body,
which represents a sleeker and albeit a more wrinkled look that defines an Italian Cut.
Italian cuts also feature a tight rounded front-shape bottom found at the front of the suit jacket at the waist.
As far as finishing touches, the Italian suits come two-button or as what is known in the Sartorial World of Suiting now
the sophisticated 3 Roll 2 button front with unpadded shoulders with or without Neapolitan Shirrings.
They tend to be less stiff and structured than their English alternatives though sometimes
an Italian suit might look out of place in a conservative work environment in some country it will shine at an occasion that calls for a little extra flair.
The Italian cut wearer is effortlessly stylish and loves a twist of sartorial style
Which right now is what is very much adorned very much on Instagram.
The construction of modern English suits it’s important to note that historically, British suits were meant to signify social status
and were originally made to be worn by military elites and British nobility. English suits are highly structured and close-fitting, as this stiffness was the requisite standard of formality.
However at Made Suits we take this element to give it our own modern twist.
We defined the shoulders with a slight shoulder pads narrow sleeves with mid armholes.
While the back is distinguished by a double vent. The British suit fit is tailored close to the body with a tapered waist.
An English cut suit has the ability to project authority and attention to detail.
Wear it to work, wear it to a wedding, wear it to a fancy venue on the weekend.
Regions and countries have always developed unique styles of dress from the culmination of the natural resources,
values, and culture of its people. Modern suit styles are no different, and even today
regions around the world have their own unique takes on the common suit and how it’s worn.
This doesn’t mean any region’s suit style is better than the other though each individual may claim otherwise
and we certainly have our preferences rather, it shows the dynamic nature and rich detail behind every character in suiting.
